What are Goji Berries

Goji Berries are one of the most nutritious and tasty berries in the world. They’re grown primarily in China, Tibet, Mongolia and Eastern Russia. I’m going to tell you all about what they taste like as well as some health benefits!
Goji berries can be eaten raw or dried. When they are fresh off the vine, many people say that they have a tart flavor with a slight sourness to them. But when they are dried out their flavor becomes sweeter and more similar to grapes (they also become less tart). Gojis grow on small shrubs that can reach up to 3 feet high; but since it’s such an invasive plant its height varies depending on where it’s growing geographically.

Cook with Goji Berries

Goji berries are a delicious and nutritious addition to your diet. They have been shown to provide many benefits, including increased immunity, improved eyesight, and better blood circulation. In this blog post we’ll explore the health benefits of goji berries as well as learn how you can cook with them in our recipes!

Ingredients for the Goji Berry Orange Cake

A cake is just a mix of basic ingredients, but when you add in some bright and bold flavors to the mix it changes everything. This recipe calls for two different types of fruit that will make your mouth water with desire—or at least try hard not to eat them all before serving! The first ingredient we’ll look at are oranges; they’re both sweet (naturally) as well has tasting like citrus freshness on each slice. Then there’s berries which have more tart notes than anything else – perfect balance really makes this flavor pop out among other sweets ones I’ve tried before too…in fact if given enough time these would become one big indulgent feast later today 🙂

Flour: All-purpose, cake flour or whole wheat pastry can be used to make your favorite cakes.

Oil is a must for this cake, as it keeps the base of your composite moisturized and light. You can use any neutral oil like vegetable or coconut oils here – just make sure to warm up before processing!

Eggs: Don’t be afraid of the eggs. They work as a great binder and add to volume too!

Sugar : I use raw sugar to keep the cake’s flavor intact. If you want a white, whipped iced layer then substitute up 50% of your usual amount with honey!

Baking Powder: The easy way to get air in your baked goods. You could substitute baking soda as there is enough acidity in the OJ, but just ¼ of a teaspoon will do!

Goji Berries and Orange: Goji berries and orange juice are the stars of this cake. Soak the goji berries in orange juice for at least 10 minutes before using, or mix with whole wheat flour to get a darker color if preferred.

Making the Goji Berry Orange Cake

The cake starts with preparing the berries. First, you need to take out any refrigerated eggs (if they’re in there) and let them come up at room temperature while we work on other parts of our project!

Dried goji berries are a little chewy, but they plump up when soaked. I usually soak mine for around 30 minutes to give them some tenderness and make sure that the fruit holds its shape well in recipes like salads or smoothies without turning into pulp before it’s time!

Making the batter

Mix the dry ingredients well and sift. Beat together oil, sugar with eggs till soft pale color is reached before adding vanilla extract to this mixture gradually while folding in half of flour at a time until thoroughly combined followed by folding in remaining flour using spatula or sticky buns equivalent depending on how large you want them made/shaped; when inserting dough into pan do so gently as they should fall easily onto surface without sticking etc… Lastly add soaked goji berries along side orange zest

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350°F/175°C. Ovens vary so check on the cake a little before it is done, then remove from oven and allow cool 10 -15 minutes in pan before inverting onto wire rack to finish cooling completely
Congratulations! You made your first ever homemade brownie mix-down just right

 Decorating and Serving

These cakes taste beautiful just as it is, but nothing spectacular to look at. Chocolate ganache frosting goes lovely with this cake; if you like the flavor of chocolate in your mouth then don’t worry about adding any extra toppings!
